FAQs
What should be the distance between the pyrometer and the calibration source?
Each infrared sensor is calibrated at a specific distance, depending on the device and its optics. Please, contact Optris for the correct calibration geometry.
How do I calibrate an infrared sensor?
The calibration process typically involves adjusting the sensor’s settings to match a known temperature, usually provided by a calibration source. This ensures the sensor’s readings are accurate. For specific instructions, please consult the device’s manual or contact Optris. A reference pyrometer is most likely required.
