Shutter for Xi Series

The Xi series shutter accessory protects camera optics with a servo motor-operated mechanism that opens and closes quickly within 100 milliseconds, sealing completely to prevent dirt and contaminants. It includes a control box for integration with other systems and can be combined with the Process Interface for automated control. Optional in combination with high-temperature cables and water-cooling accessories, it is suitable for ambient temperatures up to 250 C.

Does the shutter ensure a complete seal when closed?

It provides a complete seal to prevent dirt and contaminants from reaching the optics. Therefore, the servo mechanism has a built-in two-way movement in which the cover slides in front of the optics, pulling and closing the air gap between the cover and the infrared cameras optics.

Which other accessory is mandatory for the installation of the shutter?

The corresponding mounting bracket (Part-No.: ACXIAPLAB) is required for installation.

What other equipment do I need to order?

Please keep in mind that USB, Ethernet, or IO cables running from the infrared camera to a computer or any other interface must also be ordered in the appropriate length and temperature range. (Part-No.: ACXIIO, ACXIET, ACXIETPOE, ACXIUSB, ACPIUSB5P)

Can I combine an air purge, water cooling, and shutter?

Yes. The shutter is compatible with the Xi air purge (Part-No.: ACXIAPL). If the shutter is used with the Xi water cooling, please navigate to the shutter with Part No.: ACXISW. To ensure the correct configuration, please contact the Optris sales team.

What is the difference between this shutter and the shutter that is compatible with water cooling?

This shutter (Part-No.: ACXIS) is used at ambient temperatures up to 60 C. The shutter (Part-No.: ACXISW), which is compatible with the Xi series water cooling, has an Addition high-temperature cable which increases the operating temperature up to 250 C when used with the water cooling accessory.

Will Optris assemble the accessory for me?

Yes, if the configurations are compatible and bought with an Optris infrared camera. Optris will assemble the infrared camera with an accessory in the factory.
