FAQs
Why should I use it?
This tool helps align the CT and CSmicro sensing heads, particularly in very narrow spaces where precise alignment is challenging. The sighting tool utilizes simple laser light to mark the center of the measurement spot, ensuring accurate alignment of the CT sensing head with the optical path of the infrared sensor.
Is the laser dangerous?
The laser is a class 2 laser with less than 1mW in the wavelength range around 635nm, as per EN 60825 1. It’s crucial to remember not to point the laser directly at the eyes of people or animals. Avoid staring into the laser beam and any indirect exposure via reflective surfaces for your safety.
Can the laser be used permanently?
The laser should only be used for sighting and positioning of the sensor. A permanent use of the laser can reduce the lifetime of the laser diodes. Do not use the laser at operating temperatures above 50 °C (122 °F).
Can I trigger the laser externally?
Yes, use the digital output in the CT electronic box.
