Glass Inspection Systems
Revolutionizing Quality Control in Glass Industry
Optris introduces a revolutionary approach to quality control in the production of low-emissivity (Low-E) glass with its innovative Glass Inspection Systems. Traditional methods face challenges in accurately measuring Low-E glass, typically done from above after the glass exits the furnace. The Bottom-Up Glass Inspection System from Optris addresses these challenges effectively by utilizing two infrared imagers positioned underneath the tempering line. These imagers capture the temperature on the non-coated, high-emissivity side of the glass in real time, ensuring precise temperature monitoring and quality assurance during production. The system is fortified with and ultra-fast CTlaser 4M pyrometer and a Digitally Controlled Lens Protection system, which protects the infrared cameras in case of glass breakage.
Complementing this, the Top-Down Glass Inspection System employs advanced infrared cameras positioned above the glass, with a reference pyrometer below to correct for emissivity variations. This dual setup not only accurately gauges temperature but also identifies any defects in the glass, adjusting the heating or cooling processes accordingly. Utilizing Optris PI 640i G7 cameras, specifically designed for the glass industry with a spectral response ideal for glass applications, the system offers a comprehensive temperature range and is pre-assembled for easy installation. This holistic approach ensures optimal production efficiency and superior glass quality, enhancing overall building energy efficiency.
