The CTlaser series uses an innovative diverging laser system to help the user define the precise location of the measurement on the target material and mount the sensor at a distance where the spot size is at its smallest. This sighting system reduces setup time and maximizes measurement accuracy by helping the user to select the distance at which the sensor calibration is optimized. The laser system also illuminates two points on the outside diameter the of the spot on the target so you can see the area the sensor will measure in the field.
No other sensor in the Optris pyrometer portfolio is equipped with more optic options that optimize the measurement spot size for your target from the ideal mounting location. The CTlaser assortment of optics can equip a CTlaser LT with close up optics to deliver a 0.9 mm spot size at 70 mm or a CTlaser 1M with far focus optics to deliver a one inch spot size from a 12 foot distance. The CTlaser is a two piece system which includes an electronics box with an LED that displays real time temperature and includes a manual interface for changing emissivity or making other adjustments in the field. Numerous analog outputs (0/4 – 20 mA, 0 – 5 V, 0 – 10 V, thermocouple type K or J) or digital outputs (USB, RS485, RS232 interface, optically isolated relay outputs, CAN-Bus, Profibus DP, Ethernet) are easy to connect using terminals and settings in the electronics box.
