Repair Service

for Optimal Device Performance and Reliability

Optris guarantees an accurate dispatch of all products. However, repair services might be necessary from time to time in the line of the warranty period.

We inspect and repair your Optris products in our in-house laboratories in Berlin Germany.

We care about our customers. Therefore, we not only offer a repair, but also a calibration service. We provide the option of having your infrared measuring devices inspected in our in-house calibration laboratories on a regular basis, thus eliminating possible faults and readjusting your devices in order to guarantee highly accurate measuring results.

If you like, we also include a calibration certificate, documenting the accurate functioning of your Optris infrared measuring device in exchange for a small expense loading. The work test certificate documents the measuring results using three different temperature values within the measuring range.

I have an issue with my device. What can I do?

Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the device:

  1. Reset the device/software to its factory default settings. This often resolves configuration-related issues.
  2. Inspect the wiring and application, ensuring everything is properly connected and free from potential interference.
  3. If possible, test the device independently from the application to isolate the problem.
  4. If the issue persists, please reach out to your local distributor for further assistance.

How long does the repair take?

The repair process for products differs depending on type and defect severity. Initial inspections are completed 5 to 10 working days after device receipt.

Please provide the following product details: serial number, article number, quantity, and error report.

How much does it cost to have my camera / thermometer repaired?

The cost of repair depends on the product type and the defect level. You will receive the cost estimation after the evaluation of the product.

How about repairs outside of the warranty period?

The warranty period covers 24 months starting on the delivery date. After the warranty is expired, the manufacturer guarantees additional 6 months warranty for all repaired or substituted product components.

In standard, devices which are older than 24 months can be repaired.
More details can be determined after an inspection of the devices at the Optris Service Center.
You will be informed of the possibilities of repair options via a cost estimation.
