CSvideo Series
Video pyrometers with laser aiming for precise temperature measurement in areas with limited access
Vario Focus, Laser and Video Sighting
The Optris CSvideo pyrometer series allows a parallel use of video and crosshair laser aiming which supports optimal field adjustment even in processes with limited access. They reliably measure temperatures of metals or ceramics and, due to their shortwave sensor technology, reduce measurement errors of surfaces with low or unknown emissivities. The high quality video sighting is easy to deploy in the field with CompactPlus Connect software or the IRmobile App with state-of-the-art zoom and image rotation features.

The CS/CTvideo series by Optris combines non contact temperature monitoring in industrial applications with video surveillance. These pyrometers are designed for fixed-installed or fixed-mounted scenarios, delivering consistent and accurate results where direct contact is not feasible.
The exceptional optical resolution with a manual focusable optic sets the CS/CTvideo series apart, ensuring high-resolution temperature data. The series is equipped with a range of features that make it a versatile solution for various industrial processes.
Both the CSvideo and CTvideo pyrometers offer parallel use of video sighting and a red laser crosshair for easy sensor alignment. This innovative approach simplifies the setup process, contributing to efficient and accurate measurements. The cross hair laser aiming marks on these pyrometers indicate the spot location.
While the CSvideo is a single-piece unit with integrated electronics, the CTvideo features a two-piece design. The separation of the sensing head and electronics in the CTvideo provides additional signal processing capabilities with a wide range of analog and digital outputs. Next to the conventional two-wire interface, other various analog and digital outputs provide flexibility in connecting these pyrometers to different systems and processes. These outputs include 0/4 – 20 mA, 0 – 5 V, 0 – 10 V, USB, Ethernet, RS485, RS232 interface, relay outputs (2 x optically isolated), Profibus DP, Modbus TCP, ProfiNet, and Ethernet IP. This versatility allows seamless integration into various industrial processes and monitoring systems.
In terms of measuring capabilities, both pyrometers support measuring spots as small as 0.5 mm, with response times as low as 1 ms.
In conclusion, the Optris CS/CTvideo series is a high-performance infrared thermometer that combines advanced features such as video sighting, crosshair laser, and variable manual focus. Its application in industrial settings for temperature monitoring ensures efficiency, accuracy, and adaptability across diverse processes. The series stands out for its innovative design, superior signal processing capabilities, and ease of integration, making it a valuable asset in industrial temperature measurement solutions.
